temperatures this evening most spots in upper 30s, lower 40s. 43 in philadelphia, 43 wildwood 41 in dover. at the freezing mark in poconos and 36 in reading. there's a sharp temperature cutoff. it's sharp temperature contrast because of that we will track some changes as early as tomorrow. a winter weather advisory is posted for those locations north and west of that 95 corridor. for chester montgomery, bucks and areas north and west through the poconos because as early as tomorrow morning there could be freezing rain and some mixed precipitation north and west. here's what's going on. stormtracker 6 double scan radar 3d showing you there's a frontal boundary draped to the region most of the weekend. as we get to overnight hours into monday this boundary dips south. it funnels down the colder area north and west of philadelphia there's a chance of finding that precipitation. it's an interesting system ever since that the storm system goes

new england is bracing for a storm that will last days. it could bring two feet of snow after what's been a rough winter for the region. schools, businesses courts are shut down and people are asked to stay off the roads. >> be careful what you post on social media. a teenager from philadelphia learned that the hard way after robbed of high-end jewelry which police say he bragged about on instagram. "action news" reporter annie mccormick has the story from somerton. >> according to police three armed and masked men kicked in the town home door here in the somerton section of the city 2:30 this morning. >> we heard a crash. it was either a gunshot or them breaking glass. and you heard glass shattering and then you heard them out front screaming run, get out of the house. >> five men were inside. one of the men called 911 from a bathroom. police quickly responded. so did neighbor anthony

monttinco called police and grabbed his gun and gave chase. >> two officers showed u7 and flashed on me i said i had a side arm. i put my side arm there they asked to put hands on head until verified who i was. >> they believe the resident was targeted after seeing instagram postings of rolex watches and other valuables and wrong people knew about the recent inherent tans the victim received. they made off with squuly and a rolex. you can see the victim hat piering above the screen and glass. they believe the suspect's drumpied out of that second story window mr. fleeing the scene. the suspects fled so quickly police say they left behind two guns and dropped cell phones. on nearby beverly street they surrounded a vehicle with colorado plates that someone placed at the somerton scene. >> thank god i was not here and god works in mysterious ways.

i'm glad nobody got hurt. >> ray farrell lives in the town home with the victim and is not home during the crime. he thinks his roommate was targetd definitely somebody affiliated with him. had to be. either one of his friend or friends of a friend. i think it was a setup. >> in somerton, annie mccormick "channel 6 action news". investigators in bucks county are serving for the cause of a fire at a bensalem strip mall today. the fire broke out shortly after 1 p.m. in the 1500 block of bristol pike. the blaze may have broken out in a tattoo shop on second floor. firefighters had to be careful with this one because there's an exotic animal store in strip mall which houses dangerous snakes. from delaware newsroom a horrific crash on may man's road claymont sent five people to the hospital. it happened 1:00 this afternoon and investigate others to say a driver exiting i-95 to naamans road slammed into oncoming

vehicle. i driver of the first car was trapped for 45 minute and was flown to christianne hospital. four people inside the other car were taken to local hospitals as well. no word tonight on the severity of the injuries. >> police in middletown delaware county are looking into whether the drive that flipped the car in a residential enabled was drunk. it happened 11 a.m. indian lane in middletown. when the car crashed in a utility pole ended you up on the roof. two children narrowly escaped being hit by the car. the driver is being tested to see if he was driving under the influence. >> a peco worker was injured when he fell down an openp man knoll west mt. airy today. he fell into the homeworking on germantown avenue around noonch the hole was 10 feet deep. peco is not saying how badly the employee was injured only that his injuries are not life-threatening. an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow for a female student at millersville university found

dead this morning. the student was found this morning in the dorm room at the south -- school southwest of lancaster. her parents asked her name not be released until extended family is notified. >> a 15-year-old from montgomery county with suspected case of measles is given the all clear. the county health department says not only does he not have the measles, tests revealed a strong immunity to the disease within his system and the teenager was inself isolation at home and test results are pending. >> good news and bad news for last night's powerball drawing nobody match the numbers you're not rich. the josh pot climbed to $450 million meaning you have a shot at being rich. the other good news there were $30 million worth of smaller prize as warded from last night's drawing. keep in mind biggest powerball jackpot ever $590.5 million that went to singing winning ticket in 2003. the winning numbers from yesterday's drawing were 5, 10

authorities have not confirmed what led to car crash involving olympic gold medalist and kardsahian star bruce jener. he said he was trying to evade photographs. police told the magazine there's no evidence of that. investigators are now expecting to look into jener's cellphone records to determine if he may have been texting and driving when the crash occurred. world news sunday will have the latest on the investigation coming up next right here on 6abc. this week a federal judge in philadelphia can sign off on potential $1 billion settlement of nfl concussion claims. critics believe the plan remains murky or pays too little to struggling players. the judge suggested a few minor revisions. league player's lawyers and nfl

and say hey gather around take a puppy they have selected -- preselected rescues they are going to. >> in the pet lovers was jenny shaneer five years ago the woman was caring for her son's dog while he was serving notice army overseas. a couple years ago he ended up in shelter in georgia. he escaped twice. her other son spent years looking for him. with the help of the rescue group zach tracked down peanut. >> zach said that he was going to change all his plans and fly into the reunion and surprise his mom. >> which led to this reunion. jenny you reunited with peanut and son zach. >> i was like oh my god! because i was excited to see pea put but my son. >> a corgy mix spent time with zach over the years while serving. while he was so grateful for mom's rescue for saving peanut

outside this eek it's 43 in philadelphia 32 up in poconos and big temperature sbing here. 38 allentown to 34 millville and 39 in beach haven. here's satellite 6 and action radar they're tracking a frontal brownry most of the weekend. you have heavy snow across upstate new york and areas in uengland where massachusetts could find one to two feet of snow on the way later tonight into monday. we'll trek the boundary because it dips south and as it does so it pulls down colder air. areas north and west of philadelphia will find mixed precipitation which is why we have winter weather advisory up for moster, montgomery, bucks and points north and west. across northwest suburbs something to keep in mind there's limited moisture once the system move on through. you may need to travel north of
